Surgical Procedures

These procedures are usually performed at a local surgical center depending on your surgeon and insurance:

 

  • Conization of cervix (cold knife or loop)

  • Labiaplasty – reduction of hyperplastic or assymetric labia minora

  • Laparoscopy – minimally invasive procedure for evaluation of pelvic pain, treatment of ovarian cysts, endometriosis, pelvic adhesions, sterilization/tubal ligation, management of ectopic pregnancy

  • Hysteroscopy (diagnostic & operative) – for evaluation and treatment of abnormal uterine bleeding, removal of endometrial polyps, resection of submucosal fibroids

  • Endometrial ablation – for treatment of heavy periods

  • Bilateral tubal ligation – laparoscopic permanent sterilization

  • CO2 laser treatment of vulvar condyloma (genital warts)

  • KTP laser ablation of pelvic endometriosis using laparoscopy
