After practicing for 30 years in Newport Beach and helping establish PACWHA, Dr. Kent retired in 2020 due a medical illness called ALS. Hoag hospital has established an endowed chair in her honor, called the Jeffrey M. Carlton Endowed Chair in Women's Health. Her legacy of excellency and leadership for patients continues throughout PACWHA. Please choose another physician in our practice to help take care of you. 

After graduating from one of the top ten medical schools, Dr. Patricia Strachan completed her training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at UCLA. Since then she has been in private practice in Newport Beach and Irvine and has over 20 years of experience. She continues to maintain her board-certification status and is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She is proud of having brought well over a thousand babies into the world. As of 2020 Dr. Strachan will no longer be doing obstetrics, she will continue to practice Gynecology. As an active staff member at Hoag Memorial Hospital she operates at both the Irvine and Newport Beach locations and is skilled at gynecologic surgery. She prides herself on personal and quality patient care and is respected by her colleagues for her calm demeanor. Outside of work, she has her hands full with her three children. Dr. Strachan retired in March of 2022.
