Dr. Rhonda Flora moved from the midwest to Southern California to pursue her dream of providing obstetrical and gynecologic care for women. She completed her training at the University of California Irvine Medical Center and joined her current practice in 2004. Since then she has had the privilege of guiding women through multiple stages of their lives from the single years, to the joy of the first pregnancy, through motherhood, and finally assisting them through the transition to menopause. She also enjoys assisting women with the initial stages of fertility treatments. She is skilled in providing minimally invasive surgical solutions such as laparoscopy, hysteroscopy, and endometrial ablation for issues such as heavy periods, fibroids, and endometriosis. Dr. Rhonda Flora is board certified and has an exclusive affiliation with Hoag Hospital. She is an active member of the medical staff there. She lives in Huntington Beach with her husband and her dog Ullr. She believes in promoting a healthy lifestyle and maintains her personal wellness by surfing, hiking and traveling.
Dr. Brooke Hargrove joined the group on May 1, 2017 and practices out of our Newport Beach office. Dr. Hargrove grew up in Northern California and completed her undergraduate degree at the University of California, Los Angeles. She obtained her medical degree at the University of Hawaii and returned to California for her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of California, Irvine. Dr. Hargrove is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and a member of the academic honor society Alpha Omega Alpha. She has been in private practice in Newport Beach for the past 6 years and is exclusively affiliated with Hoag Hospital where she serves on the OB/GYN Core Committee.
Dr. Hargrove prides herself on building personal relationships with her patients. Her interests include high and low risk obstetrics, adolescent gynecology, contraception and minimally invasive surgery. She loves caring for women through all stages of life, from the joy of childbirth through menopause. Dr. Hargrove is constantly engaged in her local community, staying active and spending quality time with her husband and two young children.
Lisa M. Karamardian, M.D., received her medical degree from the University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine, where she graduated with honors as a Dean’s Scholar. She completed her residency at LAC-USC Women’s and Children’s Hospital. Dr. Karamardian is Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology, and she is a Fellow of the American College of Ob/Gyn. She has exclusively practiced in Newport Beach, California, specializing in women’s healthcare and special medical needs. Dr. Karamardian is highly skilled and has much experience in high-risk obstetrics, including multiple gestations and pregnancies as the result of advanced reproductive technologies such as IVF. She is also committed to less invasive surgical options to treat a variety of gynecologic conditions. Dr. Karamardian has been an active staff member at Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian since 1996, and is the past chair of the department of obstetrics and gynecology there. Additionally, Dr. Karamardian is on staff at Newport Center Surgical, and she holds memberships in the California Medical Association, Orange County Medical Association, and AMAA Orphan and Childcare Committee, while also serving on various women’s health and medical boards. She has been named an Orange Coast/OCMA Physician of Excellence Award Recipient numerous years, was the 2012 Vin Jorgensen Award Winner, and is named in America’s Top Obstetricians & Gynecologists’ listings.
Jody White Lai, MD is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology with active staff privileges at Hoag Memorial Presbyterian Hospital since 2007. Dr. Lai completed her residency training at University of California Irvine Medical Center and had the honor of being chosen chief resident in her final year. Dr. Lai has been in private practice in Newport Beach for over 10 years. She has always been attracted to the continuity of care women’s health offers and enjoys fostering relationships with women throughout all stages of their lives, guiding patients through contraceptive counseling, care during pregnancy, perimenopause, and menopause. Dr. Lai specializes in minimally invasive surgical techniques including operative hysteroscopy, endometrial ablation, laparoscopic management of endometriosis, fibroids, and laparoscopic hysterectomy. In her free time Dr. Lai enjoys spending time with her husband and sons traveling and trying to improve their amateur ‘foodie’ status.
Dr. Jinwen Ingid Lin earned her Bachelor degree from University of California, San Diego in BioChemistry. She received her medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Bronx, NY. She completed her residency at LA County + USC Women’s and Children’s Hospital in Los Angeles. She is Board certified with the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She was practicing as an OB/GYN in Long Beach for 13 years before joining PACWHA in 2021.

Medicine has always fascinated her since childhood. Growing up in China, she loved stories of ancient medical practitioner curing diseases with simplistic techniques and herbs. When she immigrated to California as teenager, her parents worked as nursing assistants with handicapped children. Seeing their commitment and compassion in caring for them, further affirmed her decision to pursue a career in health care. She chose OB/GYN as her specialty for many reasons. She loves seeing women of all ages, including through their pregnancy journeys and forming life-long relationships along the way. She also loves the wide range of procedures she can provide for women, from the exciting childbirth experience to complex gynecological surgeries, including minimal invasive procedures. She also plays an important role as an educator, supporter, and advocator for her patients. She wants to provide quality and compassionate care, one patient at a time, to promote health and well-being. She speaks Mandarin Chinese fluently and also proficient in medical Spanish.

Outside of work, She enjoys spending time with her husband and two young children, traveling, enjoying the beach, great weather and plethora of gourmet foods that southern California provides.
From a very young age, Dr. Pantea Mozayeni knew she wanted to be a doctor and help others. She chose a career in obstetrics and gynecology as it affords her the opportunity to work with women of all ages, from adolescents through seniors, during all of their life stages.

In practice for over 20 years, Dr. Mozayeni brings compassion and professionalism to her patients. She diligently takes the time with each patient to get to know them and understand their specific needs. It is through this process that she can provide a high level of individualized care for her patients. Her experience includes pre-conception planning, high risk pregnancies, minimally invasive and laparoscopic surgeries, menopause and more.

Dr. Mozayeni received her medical degree with honors from the prestigious Tehran University of Medical Sciences and completed her internship and residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Baylor College of Medicine where she attained multiple merit awards for outstanding performance. She has conducted research at University of Southern California and University of California, Los Angeles and has published multiple articles in various medical journals. Dr. Mozayeni continues to provide mentorship to college students who have aspiration of continuing their education in the field of women’s health care.

Her knowledge of languages in addition to English has allowed her to better understand and communicate with her patients who speak Farsi, French, Spanish and German. An Orange County resident, Dr. Mozayeni enjoys sailing, skiing, hiking, and reading during her time away from the office.

Gynecologic Surgeon, Gynecologist, Obstetrician
Dr. Nura Sobhanian is the newest physician at the practice, returning home to Southern California. She completed her medical and residency training at the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Phoenix. During her medical school training, she completed a Certificate of Distinction in Global Health. She also completed the Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine Course as a resident and is passionate about integrative health for women. In particular, the management of painful periods, menopause, prenatal and postpartum care. She received extensive training in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery and completed a laparoscopic surgery certification during her residency training.
She loves walking with women through each milestone of their life; whether that is family planning, wellness, pregnancy, postpartum, or menopause.

When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband and young daughter outdoors. She loves hot yoga, hiking, experimenting with coffee, and traveling.
Dr. Vinita Speir is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and loves being an advocate for her patients and women’s health. In 2014, she transitioned to private practice after practicing as an Assistant Professor at the University of California, Irvine where she also completed medical school and residency training . She is now an active staff member at Hoag Memorial Hospital. She is a member of the prestigious medical honor societies Alpha Omega Alpha and the Gold Humanism Honor Society and graduated with Honors from Stanford University. Her philosophy focuses on comprehensive, patient-tailored care and she enjoys taking care of patients of all ages from adolescence through menopause. In addition to high and low-risk obstetrics, she specializes in management of gynecologic disorders such as menstrual irregularities, vulvar disorders, fibroids, and contraception. She is also skilled in minimally invasive surgery. When she is not at work she is busy taking care of her three daughters (plenty of estrogen at home and work) she tries to find time to use her Peloton and work on her golf game. She loves roller-coasters and a good romantic comedy. In 2022 she was named as one of Orange Coast Magazines Top Doctors.
Nicolle Underwood, MD, MPH, is excited to be practicing out of our Irvine office and provide both obstetric and gynecologic services to such a vibrant community. Dr. Underwood is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology. She is an active staff member at Hoag Memorial Presbyterian Hospital and serves on several committees to improve the obstetrical care at Hoag. Dr. Underwood also works with the California Maternal Quality Care Collaborative on reducing cesarean section rates in the state and improve the healthcare women and newborns receive. Dr. Underwood values the personal relationships she fosters with patients and the privilege that ob/gyns have in seeing their patients through their adolescence, pregnancy, and menopause and guiding them through the challenges that each of these years pose. Dr. Underwood specializes in both high and low-risk obstetrics as well as the management of gynecologic disorders. She has been quoted in both regional and national publications regarding obstetrical care.
After graduating from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, PA, and obtaining a Master’s in Public Health from Johns Hopkins University, Dr. Underwood completed her medical training at one of the busiest obstetrics/gynecology hospitals and birthing centers in New York - St. Luke’s-Roosevelt in Manhattan, where she had the honor of being named chief resident and gained valuable skills training side-by-side with some of the most highly sought after obstetricians and midwives in Manhattan.
After residency, Dr. Underwood joined a private practice on Manhattan’s Upper West Side and continued teaching as an Assistant Professor at Mount Sinai West hospital. With a young daughter, she relocated to her native Southern California and joined the practice in February 2017. She is enjoying building obstetrics and gynecologic services in Irvine and engaging in the community with her husband and daughter. She misses the food in New York but loves trying all the restaurants in Orange County and now appreciates that many of them have children's menus.
Lisa Worsch M.D. is a board-certified Obstetrician/Gynecologist. Dr. Worsch has a private practice in Newport Beach and active staff privileges at Hoag Memorial Presbyterian Hospital since 1995. Beginning in 2006, Dr. Worsch limited her practice to gynecology offering comprehensive gynecologic services. Dr. Worsch specializes in minimally invasive surgical treatments for a variety of gynecologic conditions, such as heavy menses, pelvic pain, endometriosis, and symptomatic uterine fibroids. She has expertise in da Vinci®robot assisted laparoscopic total and supracervical hysterectomy. In addition, she performs laparoscopic procedures to evaluate and treat endometriosis, adnexal masses and pelvic pain. Dr. Worsch also offers less invasive approaches for women seeking to preserve their uterus. These techniques include endometrial ablation, diagnostic and operative hysteroscopy. As of September 2016, Dr. Worsch has transitioned to only assisting with surgeries and is no longer seeing patients in the office.
